Welcome!

I look forward to working with you. Imago Therapy is positive and effective, and if you're willing to use the guidance I offer, you will be quickly on your way to a more rewarding connection. I believe the old saying "in order to have something different, we must be different" definitely applies to relationships. Let's commit to making the most of therapy by being more positive, willing, open, hopeful, respectful and connecting in the relationship. That is my goal for you, and I will guide you through this process by helping you speak in a way that promotes listening, and listening in a way that promotes understanding and effective, loving communication that allows for the return of connection.

Are we ready for couples therapy with Jeannie?

We love each other.
We are each committed to replacing criticism, putdowns, stonewalling or blame with dialogue facilitated by Jeannie.
We are motivated to learn and use the dialogue as a new way to talk and listen.
Assuming the first session is positive and hopeful, we are willing to attend a Getting the Love You Want weekend workshop (a two day - often transformative - seminar in which you work privately together as a couple in structured written and verbal exercises which help you reconnect). This workshop is comparable to six months of couples therapy, and is therefore more cost effective than weekly sessions.
We both want to see dramatic and lasting improvement in our connection, and are willing to do the daily work on ourselves to grow into a more intentional and positive relationship.
We are available weekdays between 9:00 and 5:30 for private sessions.
We are willing to invest our time, energy and resources* to create a lasting, loving connection.

We can schedule a 60 or 90 minute session. I also sometimes schedule "intensives", which means we may work for a half or full day or more. I accept Venmo, cash, check, PayPal, Visa/MC or AmEx in order of preference. You will be asked for a credit card number to hold your time slot. You will not be billed until your session. I cannot book time without assurance of payment, as no-shows and late cancellations are costly.

*cost of private sessions is $200 per hour and $895 per couple for the workshop (effective May 1, 2023). For most couples, six bi-weekly sessions and the workshop are sufficient for the desired change. As in any new behavior, daily practice will reinforce and ensure lasting change.

My office is located at 525 Sneed Road Nashville, TN 37221, and I am also seeing couples via Telehealth if preferred or unvaccinated. I will provide a private link and password on the day of our appointment.
