January is perfect time to focus on relationship improvement, positive growth together and getting out of the power struggle!  And what better place to do it than a tropical paradise?

Consider our workshop in St. John, so you can escape winter, and enjoy water temps of 84 degrees, with typically abundant sunshine.  The brilliant blue Caribbean, with all its splendor, will provide a sensual feast, warm you up, and chill you out!  The island culture has a lot to teach us about relaxing and going with the flow. St. Johnians show us how to live in the beauty without the noise and haste.

One of my favorite bumper stickers in St. John (and they believe in bumper stickers) is “Positive is How I Live”.  So perfect, and it’s my ambition for us this coming January.

You’re invited to take advantage of this time and place to break out of negative patterns in your relationship, reconnect and re-romanticize your relationship.  This workshop will help you replace the defensive reactivity with deeper understanding.  You will spend quality time together in a beautiful space, with the focus on creating a mutually supportive, more intimate relationship.  We want you to leave St. John deeply connected with a vision and skill set for a positive life together.

Cost includes the fees for the workshop, as well as breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day, prepared by our own private Chef Sabine.  Transportation and lodging are on your own.

St. John is such a gorgeous, laid back place.  Whether you like to snorkel, hike, eat, or just relax and take in the views, we’ll help you connect and get the most out of the island.  I’ll be glad to show you my favorite snorkeling spots, watering holes, shopping or how to drive on the lef, mon! 🙂

Positive is how we live.  Join us!

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do we get there?  You can fly into St. Thomas (STT) and take the ferry to St. John.  Once on the island, you can either rent a jeep on St. John or use their taxi service to get around.  If you rent a vehicle, be sure you get a 4WD, and also… as they say, “stay lef’ mon”!  (Heads up; we drive on the left side of the road).

Do we need a Passport to visit St. John?  St. John is a U.S. Virgin Island so you do not need a passport, unless you want to visit a British Virgin Island while you’re there. It’s not a bad idea to bring it, though. Read more at Frommers.

Where is the workshop?  The workshop will be held in a private villa in Point Rendezvous.  Our goal is to provide a beautiful view, and an inspired and romantic setting for you to reconnect.

What will we do in the workshop?. The short answer is you will reconnect.  The longer answer is you’ll spend a weekend unpacking relationship dynamics, the journey of relationship that includes some stages and “growth opportunities”, why we do some of the things we do, how we get in our own way, how to be more conscious lovers, how to connect, and begin to co-create a more intentional partnership. Whew!  We’ll also play and have fun because we need to associate our partner as a source of fun and pleasure is an important part of having a lasting connection.  All exercises are done in break-outs.  This is NOT group therapy, and you are never required to share anything personal.

Where will we stay?  This is up to you.  You can stay at The Westin, or in an Airbnb or VRBO on the island.

What is the schedule?  We’ll begin with a welcome reception Friday afternoon and an overview of the weekend. You’ll be given some exercises Friday night, then Saturday, we’ll spend the day together, digging into the mysteries of love and relationship.  We’ll have breakfast and lunch at the villa. Dinner and the evening will be on your own. We’ll follow the same schedule Sunday, and send you on your way, re-connected with a vision and commitment for living a more positive life together.  Depending on the group size and interest, we may throw in some snorkeling or hiking adventure if you’re game.

How much will this cost?  The cost of the weekend, including meals, is $1497 per couple.  This includes the workshop fee, breakfast, lunch and snacks at the villa.

How many couples?  To ensure your comfort, we’re limiting the workshop to five couples, so we recommend early registration to ensure your spot.

How do we register? We’re working on a registration page, which should be up in a day or two.  Meanwhile, if you want to register now, simply log into PayPal, and send your registration fee to jeannie using her ingram.jeannie@gmail.com address, then follow up with an email letting her know you’ve done so.  She’ll write back with a confirmation.

What should we bring?  Your sense of adventure, your sense of curiosity, your casual summer clothes, your mask and snorkel if you like.  We will provide everything you need for the workshop, and most everything on St. John is casual.

Did you say we’d have a chef?  Yes! Sabine will prepare your breakfast, lunch and snacks each day. For the past twenty years, Sabine Morrow has worked as a reporter in Atlanta and California, writing about food, restaurants, travel, and consumer products. She also taught private and group cooking classes, specializing in easy French cuisine.
