DESCRIPTION:Start Right – Stay Connected \na Pre-Marital Seminar \n Saturday\, January 25\, 2014 \n8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. \nCost $100 \nPresenters: Jeannie Ingram\, Susan Hammonds-White\n\nand Rod Kochtitzky\n(Click here for registration) \nIn the beginning\, love is easy; waking up in the morning to enjoy life and each other seems so natural.  However\, couples may worry about the glow fading; it isn’t as easy as it once was – love in the second stage of marriage now requires consciousness\, communication tools\, and on-going decisions that will determine whether a relationship grows stronger or grows apart. \nStart Right – Stay Connected is a five hour \nrelationship education seminar for couples \npreparing to be married or who are newly married. \nThe average marriage in the United States currently lasts around 7.5 years.  In this era of frequent divorce\, many engaged couples struggle with the challenge of building a relationship that can withstand the test of time.  Couples often ask\, “How can we make our marriage last…what can we do so that we don’t end up in divorce court?” \nThe Imago Start Right – Stay Connected program is founded on the most recent research as well as the clinical experience of hundreds of marriage counselors from around the world.  It gives couples the solid foundation they are seeking to begin married life together and to build a strong spiritual foundation. \nThrough the Start Right – Stay Connected program\, couples learn: \n· Effective communication skills \n· Tools for dealing with relationship hot buttons \n· Effective conflict resolution \n· To remove negativity from the relationship \n·  How to keep the romance alive \n·  Affair-proofing the relationship \n·  Establishing and maintaining a spiritual connection \n·  How to unlock marriage’s deeper purpose as a vehicle for healing and growth \nThe more conscious and intentional people are at the beginning of a relationship\, the more likely they are to create the relationship of their dreams.  True and enduring love is possible. \nThis five hour educational seminar is based on Imago Relationship Therapy and the work of Harville Hendrix\, Ph.D.\, and Helen LaKelly Hunt\, Ph.D.\, and their book Getting the Love You Want. \n******************************************** \nThis seminar is designed to supplement but not to replace the counseling required through a couple’s place of worship. Register for this seminar click here.  Cost is $100 per couple\, $60 of which will be deducted from the cost of their marriage license\, resulting in a $40 net cost for the workshop.  A notarized certificate will be given to each couple completing this one-day workshop to be used at time of license application. \nPresenters are subject to change.  To find out which presenters will be present at your seminar\, email Carol@rodk.net.
